Time for a paddle!

What better way to cool down than having a paddle in your very own, home made,'swimming pool'!
Foundation Stage learnt a lot in constructing their pool and then made the most of sunshine by dipping their toes in the surprisingly cold water!

Happy Mother's Day!

'Mothering Sunday' is fast approaching when we need to be remembering just how special Mum's are! Foundation Stage have already got Sunday sorted with these fantastic portraits!
Whatever you are planning this weekend, don't forget Mum's are special every day - not just Sunday!

The Snail & the Whale!

Foundation Stage had a 'whale of a time' when the Rhubarb Theatre Company came to visit to lead workshops based on the Julia Donaldson book 'The Snail & the Whale'.
Lots of fun had by all!

Budding Builders!

A big thank you to Buildbase (formerly Jacksons) who have been very generous and kindly donated some materials to our outdoor area. The wheelbarrow has been a big hit and is already in daily use shifting crates (not children)!

Bob the Builder! Can he fix it?

A massive thank you to Jewson's who have kindly donated 100 bricks for our EYFS Building Zone. Just how many heavy bricks can you fit in a wheelbarrow and still lift it?
You're never too young to learn a trade and some excellent brick laying was the order of the day - a few thousand more and FS could have an extension! However, some of the children learnt that mud doesn't bond bricks together quite as well as hoped!

Settling in!

Our new Foundation Stage cohort have now been with us a month and most of them now realise that they have to keep coming back! Here are a few snaps of them settling in and learning both indoors and out. Don't forget - parents of Foundation Stage are warmly invited to join us for our Harvest Festival 10 am on Tuesday 17th October when the children will be singing about vegetables and not hammering golf tees into them!
