Early Years Foundation Stage

In EYFS, we provide an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child feels they belong, is supported to thrive and is challenged to achieve. Through a high-quality, ambitious curriculum and strong relationships, we skilfully build the foundations for lifelong learning.

There are seven areas of learning and development that shape the Foundation Stage curriculum. All areas of learning and development are important and interconnected.

Three areas are particularly important for building a foundation that ignites children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.

The prime areas are:

  • communication and language

  • physical development

  • personal, social and emotional development

We also support children in four specific areas, through which the three prime areas are strengthened and applied. The specific areas are:

  • literacy

  • mathematics

  • understanding the world

  • expressive arts and design

We use Tapestry as our main form of communication.  Please click the link below to log in.
