Statutory Reception Baseline Assessment
Every child will participate in the reception baseline assessment (RBA) within the first 6 weeks of starting reception. The purpose of the assessment is to provide the starting point for a progress measure that will help parents/carers understand how well schools support their pupils to progress between reception and year 6.
The RBA is a short, interactive and practical assessment of each child’s early literacy, communication, language and mathematics skills when they begin school.

Sleep & Rest Policy
This policy sets out the arrangements for providing a safe and appropriate environment for children who may occasionally become tired and fall asleep during the school day.
Our Foundation Stage class does not provide a scheduled daytime nap or sleep period. However, we recognise that individual children may sometimes become tired and fall asleep unexpectedly.
We will ensure that any child who falls asleep receives safe, appropriate care and supervision tailored to their individual needs and in line with all relevant guidance.
